Deputy president of Jubbaland, Mohamud Siyad Adan who concluded his six-day working visit to Gedo region with a call for peace and unity said his government will launch development projects in the region.
“We want to ensure that lack of development will no longer be used as a political tool. We assure you that the Jubbaland Government will remain focused on its all-inclusive approach to development,” Mr Adan said, adding that it will boost the region’s economy.
Mr Adan said that the Government has increased the number of security officers and equipped them adequately to address the challenges of insecurity across the region.

He added, his government is also working with the NGOs to fast-track implementation of an irrigation project at River Jubba.
Mr Adan said Jubbaland will not waver in its focus to developing the country. “Our visit here is proof that we are steadfast in our commitment to develop all parts of the country,” said the deputy president.
